Nokia: Lumia Phone Coming To U.S., Says WSJ

In case you missed it, The Wall Street Journal’s Will Connors, Christopher Lawton and Spencer Ante this morning write that Nokia (NOK) will make its return to the U.S. cellular market next week with the announcement that Deutsche Telekom’s (DTEGY) T-Mobile USA unit will say it is going to carry Nokia’s “Lumia 710” smartphone running Microsoft’s (MSFT) Windows Phone 7 software, citing a single anonymous source.

The other Lumia model, the 800, has been available in Europe since last month. Nokia said today the 710 went on sale in Taiwan along with the 800, and is expected to go on sale in Russia, Hong Kong, Singapore and India “in the next seven days.

Both models were unveiled in late October.

Shares of Nokia are up 14 cents, or 2.7%, at $5.14.
