NBC locked up the rights to show the Olympics through 2032.
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) NBC has agreed to pay $7.7 billion to broadcast the Olympics through the 2032 Summer Games. The deal extends the current rights deal that runs through the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The agreement covers various platforms including free television broadcasts, pay television, Internet and mobile distribution.
For the current rights deal, which covers four games between 2014 and 2020, NBC is paying $4.48 billion. So this deal that covers six games represents a 16% increase in the amount paid per Olympics.
In an era when an increasing number of viewers skip commercials by recording programs or watching them on demand, sports rights have become more valuable to broadcasters. While some sports rights deals can be money losers for the networks, the Olympics draw enough viewers as well as advertising support to generally be profitable for the broadcaster, even at such lofty prices.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Maxx Chatsko]
The treatment will add to its quickly growing expertise in blood treatments and biologics. Speaking of which, Baxter and Halozyme (NASDAQ: HALO ) had HyQvia approved for marketing in Europeearlier this year. The therapy boosts the immune systems of patients with primary and secondary immunodeficiencies, and combines multiple therapies -- both intravenous and subcutaneous -- into one subcutaneous product. It also allows patients to administer treatment at home every three to four weeks. In other words, it knocks the convenience category out of the park. Halozyme has had a tumultuous life on the public market, so this could be just the stabilizer shareholders need.

Shares of Halozyme Therapeutics (NASDAQ: HALO) got a boost, shooting up 6.11 percent to $12.85 after the company reported that Consistent 1 trial Of Hylenex(R) recombinant has met primary endpoint.
- [By Sean Williams]
The EMA's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use, or CHMP, also played a big role in Halozyme Therapeutics' (NASDAQ: HALO ) huge Friday surge. The EMA's panel recommended Roche's Herceptin SC, which uses Halozyme's recombinant human hyaluronidase in a subcutaneous injection for patients with HER2-positive breast cancer. A typical infusion of Herceptin can take 30 to 90 minutes, whereas the subcutaneous injection can be delivered in a fraction of the time, two to five minutes. This new delivery method could save hospitalization time and money and improve patient comfort. It could also be a transformative approval for Halozyme.

The company has a current ROE of 11.72% which is higher than the industry median. In general, analysts consider ROE ratios in the 15-20% range as representing attractive levels for investment. So for investors looking those levels or more, Halliburton (HAL) and Tenaris (TS) could be the option. It is very important to understand this metric before investing, and it is important to look at the trend in ROE over time.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Stoyan Bojinov]
The Phoenix, Arizona-based copper producer, Southern Copper (SCCO), was upgraded from “Hold” to “Buy” by analysts at BB&T Capital on Monday.Garrett Nelson, an analyst with the firm, noted that the company is expected to improve its output growth significantly starting in 2015. When considering the state of the industrial metals market as a whole, Nelson notes that the current global copper supply is much tighter than it was just a few months ago. Furthermore, Nelson also cites the company’s lackluster performance in 2013 as another reason for why it may be able to deliver more impressive returns in the future; Southern Copper is down 25% year-to-date, compared to its closest competitor Freeport McMoran (FCX), which is up 10% on the year. As such, BB&T upgraded the company from “Hold” to “Buy” with a price target of $24 a share.
Southern Copper shares posted a gain of 1.90% today to kick off the week. The stock is lagging behind the broad market YTD with a loss of nearly 25%.

Southern Copper (SCCO) produces copper, molybdenum, zinc and silver. This stock closed up 4.3% at $28.79 in Friday's trading session.
Friday's Volume: 3.76 million
Three-Month Average Volume: 1.89 million
Volume % Change: 180%From a technical perspective, SCCO soared higher here back above its 50-day moving average of $28.17 with strong upside volume flows. This stock has been downtrending badly for the last six months, with shares plunging lower from its high of $41.35 to its recent low of $25.75. During that downtrend, shares of SCCO have been consistently making lower highs and lower lows, which is bearish technical price action. That said, shares of SCCO have now started to rip off that $25.75 low and quickly move within range of triggering a near-term breakout trade. That trade will hit if SCCO manages to take out some near-term overhead resistance at $29.11 with high volume. If that breakout hits, then SCCO could be ready to reverse its downtrend and enter a new uptrend.
Traders should now look for long-biased trades in SCCO as long as it's trending above Friday's low of $27.58 or above $27 and then once it sustains a move or close above $29.11 with volume that's near or above 1.89 million shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then SCCO will set up to re-test or possibly take out its next major overhead resistance levels at $34 to $36.

In particular, gold and silver miners have seen weakness in this environment, falling by well over 45%, as represented by the Gold Mining ETF (GDX), since the start of 2013. Yet, while many investors have been laser-focused on the precious metal market, there has been significant weakness in the base metal world as well. Companies in this space have been hit hard by the same issues of a strong dollar and sluggish international demand, and could thus be ones to avoid as well. One firm in particular that could struggle in this environment is Southern Copper (SCCO).

On March 27th, Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold Inc. (FCX) declared a cash dividend of $0.3125 continuing its run of consistent and strong dividends. The company is one of the largest publicly traded copper mining companies. The major competitors of the company include Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO) and Newmont Mining Corp. (NEM).
