LDK Solar Raises Q3 Guidance On Revenue, Shipments; Shrs Up

LDK Solar (LDK) this morning lifted its Q3 guidance.

The company now sees revenue of $610 million to $640 million, up from a previous forecast range of $570 million to $600 million. LDK now sees shipments of 550-570 MW of wafers and 80-90 MW of modules; LDK previously had expected 520-550 MW of wafer shipments and 75-85 MW or module shipments.

LDK said it now has manufacturing capacity of 11,000 metric tons in polysilicon, 2.6 GW of wafers, 120 MW in cells and 760 MW in modules. The company said it had cash at the end of Q3 of about $800 million.

LDK this morning is up 90 cents, or 9.2%, to $10.70.
