Dreamworks Animation(DWA) shares are trading higher this morning on better-than-expected Q3 results.
After the close yesterday, the company posted Q3 revenue of $188.9 million and profits of 47 cents a share, ahead of the Street at $163.1 million and 35 cents.
“Our strong third quarter was driven primarily by the international box office success of Shrek Forever After, which has become DreamWorks Animation’s highest grossing international release of all time,” CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg said in a statement.
DWA this morning is up 29 cents, or 0.8%, to $34.65.
