GelTech Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: GLTC), creators of patent pending FireIce, a non-toxic water enhancing fire suppressant, announced the listing of FireIce on the Australian and New Zealand Qualified Products List (QPL) and also detailed its new distribution agreement with IMCD Group B.V. (IMCD), a leading company in sales, marketing and distribution of food ingredients and specialty chemicals.
The Australian Fire and Emergency Service Authority Council (AFAC) and the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) have listed FireIce on the QPL, which makes the company available for purchase by first responder agencies.
GelTech also announced its five-year distribution agreement with IMCD, in which IMCD will serve as the exclusive distributor of FireIce for Australia and New Zealand, subject to meeting defined annual product purchase minimums.
"Our agreement with IMCD is the culmination of over 18 months of work by both companies. We are fortunate to be working with a group such as IMCD and feel their resources and contacts will have a very positive impact on the rollout of FireIce in Australia and New Zealand. IMCD has already established sales agents in each of the major states of Australia," Joseph Ingarra, president, GelTech Solutions, stated in the press release.
Ingarra also noted that the company recently completed FireIce product introductions and training to major fire service agencies, including the Victorian Country Fire Authority, Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade, New South Wales Rural Fire Service, in addition to the AFAC and DSE.
